Lateral Entry Program – Admission to Third Semester B.Tech. Degree Program
The residents of Union Territory of Pondicherry holding a Diploma in Engineering are allowed to take admission into third semester of B. Tech. degree program of relevant discipline. /A separate entrance examination is held for admission through this program.
The minimum qualification is Diploma / Diploma (Sandwitch) with atleast 60% marks in aggregate.
Note- Thirty seats over and above the sanctioned intake are reserved for diploma stream with six seats in each discipline.
Reservation
Candidates belonging to SC/ST who have a mere pass in Diploma examination are eligible.
Out of the 42 seats, 21 shall be for the General Category, 14 for Other Backward Class and 7 for SC/ST candidates. Diploma candidates are not eligible for seats under any other reservation category.
Candidates should not have completed 24 years at the time of admission. In the case of SC/ST candidates, the age limit is relaxable by 3 years.
